Do I need a visit just to get started?

Not usually. A brief description and clear photographs normally help me assess whether I can take the job on. If a visit is needed, I'll explain that first.

Where do you work?

Primarily in Bath and nearby neighbourhoods. I keep my working area local, so please include the job postcode when you get in touch.

Can you do plumbing and electrical work?

I consider smaller, suitable tasks within my competence. No gas work, major electrical installations or work that requires a specialist certification.

Can you help with a holiday let or managed rental?

Yes. I can assist local letting agents, landlords, Airbnb hosts and holiday-home owners with appropriate minor repairs, fittings, snagging and general upkeep.

Can you help a small local business?

Yes. I can help independent shops, cafés, offices and other small workplaces in and around Bath with suitable everyday maintenance, fittings and smaller repairs. Work is arranged in advance rather than as an emergency call-out.

Can you help plan or oversee a property project?

Yes, for suitable smaller projects. I can offer practical ideas, help define the work, coordinate trades and keep an eye on progress. Structural design, regulated work and specialist technical advice must be provided by the relevant qualified professionals. We would agree the scope and fee before starting.

How are costs worked out?

The starting rate is £30 an hour, with travel and materials additional. I'll discuss the likely scope and any alternative pricing before work starts. Not every job is suitable for an hourly arrangement.
